The role of task cards in Montessori settings is unique. They ensure that children have control over practicing specific skills. This practice makes the learner's learning an individualized experience. The knowledge acquired in the past is never stashed away. Learners have access to the material of their choice year-round and can self-correct using the control for errors on the back.
Discover our new Montessori support material, Estimation and Rounding Task Cards for learners aged 6-12. Estimation helps take a guess calculation using the nearest 10, 100, etc. To make an estimation, one must also use rounding. Rounding is when one rounds a number up to the nearest unit (ten, hundred, thousand) of a number. Rounded numbers are not exact. Both estimation and rounding are complementary skills; therefore, they should be studied together.
Our set contains 44 cards with control for errors on the back. The set is divided into three sections which cover rounding first, then estimation using various objects, materials, and measuring tools around the classroom.

Does Alison's Montessori accept Purchase Orders (POs) from schools?
Yes, we accept Purchase Orders from public schools and charter schools. The PO must be on a school or organization letterhead, signed by the Director or an authorized representative. You can place the order online and select the PO payment method, then fax us the signed PO.
What should I do if my materials arrive damaged?
Please call or email us immediately if your materials arrive damaged. Our customer service representatives will work to resolve the issue promptly. We ask that you retain the original shipping carton and packing materials.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship internationally. For deliveries outside of North America, we typically use DHL, USPS, or any other carrier. Please contact our customer support line for assistance with international orders, especially those over a certain dollar amount, which may require payment via wire transfer.
