Visual Discrimination Cards: What’s Different?

These Visual Discrimination Cards strengthen pre-reading and early cognitive skills. Visual discrimination is a foundational skill in both sensory education and early language development. The ability to notice differences in form, size, orientation, and detail directly supports a child’s capacity to distinguish similar-looking letters and words. Before a child can read fluently, they must first train their eyes and mind to notice these differences.

This set includes 16 cards and 10 red "X" cut-outs to place over the different object on the cards. This material encourages focused visual attention, strengthens pattern recognition and logical reasoning, and prepares the mind for decoding written language and left-to-right tracking.
