Wooden Fraction Circles (Premium Quality)
The Wooden Fraction Circles are a hands-on, mathematics learning material used to introduce children to the concept of fractions in a concrete and visual way. They are a key component of the Montessori math curriculum, particularly for elementary-aged children.
There are two sloping stands which hold ten green wooden frames, each of which have a circular opening ten centimeters in diameter. Each frame holds a red wooden circle which is divided into individual pieces representing fractional parts. This allows children to physically manipulate and combine the pieces. The first inset is a complete circle and the rest of the circles are divided as follow:
- Halves: A circle divided into two equal parts
- Thirds: A circle divided into three equal parts
- Fourths: A circle divided into four equal parts
- Fifths: A circle divided into five equal parts
- Sixths: A circle divided into six equal parts
- Sevenths: A circle divided into seven equal parts
- Eighths: A circle divided into eight equal parts
- Ninths: A circle divided into nine equal parts
- Tenths: A circle divided into ten equal parts
The fraction circles help build a strong foundation for understanding fractions and more advanced mathematical concepts by appealing to the child's senses and encouraging hands-on exploration and discovery. When using this material in the classroom children will be able to:

Does Alison's Montessori accept Purchase Orders (POs) from schools?
Yes, we accept Purchase Orders from public schools and charter schools. The PO must be on a school or organization letterhead, signed by the Director or an authorized representative. You can place the order online and select the PO payment method, then fax us the signed PO.
What should I do if my materials arrive damaged?
